San Antonio Express News: EZ's Add Healthful Ingredients

 Thanks to EZ's Brick Oven and Grill, the selection of healthful restaurant options in San Antonio has grown a little bigger . . .  EZ's has abolished trans fats, MSG and genetically modified foods, and is working on eleminating corn syrup as well. . . . The chain also introduced an ancient-grain, gluten-free bun for its veggie burgers, chicken sandwich, and burgers.

Supermarket News EXTRA: Back in the Game

Most of Suzy Monford’s career is steeped in retail tradition. She’s held executive-level positions at H.E. Butt Grocery and more recently as an independent consultant, helped Coles Supermarkets in Australia revamp its offerings. . . . . “I worked with EZ’s when it was just being born,” she says. “When it started in 1989, it was quite innovative to make home-made, very high-quality food in a fast casual environment.”
